Overview

Review available pharmacological options for migraine management with an emphasis on newer treatments. The presentation will analyze decision-making factors that influence prescribing practices for migraine targeted pharmaceuticals and cover practice pearls for optimizing individualized migraine acute and preventative treatments.

Meg Wildes DNP, MBA, FNP-BC, AQH

Migraine and Headache Specialist in Tacoma, WA

Meg Wildes (DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, AQH) is a nurse practitioner who specializes in migraine and headache management. She believes in partnering with patients for holistic care, with a focus on lifestyle as well as medical interventions. She began her career in nursing at Johns Hopkin’s cardiac medical ICU, in 2011, after graduating from Gonzaga University with a BSN. In 2016, she became a Family Nurse Practitioner, earning her doctorate in nursing practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a Nurse Practitioner, she worked in chronic pain, then in neurology since 2018 with a focus on headache management and an Additional Qualification in Headache Medicine (AQH) from the National Headache Foundation. Meg is an educator and enthusiastic proponent of applying best practice to patient care. She loves living in the Pacific Northwest and exploring all its natural treasures.
