Clinical Professor

Sally K. Miller, PhD, AGACNP, AGPCNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FAANP, is certified as an adult-gerontology acute care, adult-gerontology primary care, family, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She practices in rural health with NextGen Family Care Clinic and iCarePsychiatry in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and a clinical professor at the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions, Philadelphia, PA. Additionally, Dr. Miller is the APRN consultant/investigator to the Nevada State Board of Nursing. Dr. Miller is also a Senior Fitzgerald Faculty member. She presents the Fitzgerald Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Review & Advanced Practice Update for family, adult-gerontology primary care, adult-gerontology acute care, and psychiatric-mental health. She also teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology courses.

Program Manager, Institute for Orthopedic Education

Karen M. Myrick, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, ONP-C, FAANP, FAAN, is the Program Manager for the Institute for Orthopedic Education, which is part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Karen came to Mass General from Connecticut where she was a distinguished professor of nursing, known for her expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine. She created a Post-Master's Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Certificate program for NPs and PAs, one of only two such programs in the nation and the only one for PAs. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Myrick maintains her clinical practice as a nurse practitioner in an orthopedic urgent care setting. She also serves as the Director of Nursing Education and Practice for Springer Publishing, where she contributes to the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice. Committed to advancing healthcare through research, Dr. Myrick focuses on athletes and sports medicine. Her work has garnered multiple grants, enabling her to pioneer innovative approaches in clinical health assessment, biomechanics, sports performance and injury prevention. She has authored and edited several textbooks. Dr. Myrick's contributions to the field include the development, testing and publication of a physical examination technique for diagnosing hip labral tears. As an educator and organizer of large meetings and continuing medical education events, she serves as the meeting coordinator and CME officer for the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society.

Wendy Wright
Wendy Wright DNP, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, FNAP

Wendy received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2019 from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is a 1992 graduate of the Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Simmons College in Boston and completed a family nurse practitioner post-master’s program in 1995. She is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two nurse practitioner-owned and -operated clinics within New Hampshire named Wright & Associates Family Healthcare. Her family practices have won numerous awards, including Top Providers in New Hampshire 2018, Top 20 Fastest Growing Family Business, and Top 20 Women-Owned Business in New Hampshire. In addition, she is the Owner of Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates. She is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner of the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing; and in March 2017, a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice. She is the founder of the New Hampshire Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical practice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1,000 conferences in 47 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of New Hampshire Immunization Advisory Board. She has been a medical media spokesperson for numerous companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. Wendy is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving nurses and nurse practitioners.

Lori Ranallo
Lori Ranallo RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CBCN

Lori Ranallo is a board certified, oncology nurse practitioner at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, where she has cared for women with breast cancer for over 30 years. She is passionate about survivorship care issues and providing thorough screening, accurate diagnosis and appropriate education and referrals to her patients. She is certified in Clinical Breast Care, Genetic Risk Counseling, Lymphedema Management, Tobacco Cessation Management and End of Life Care. She is a recipient of the 2022 Magnet Nurse of the Year, 2015 Ingram's Heroes in Healthcare Award, 2011 Hematology/Oncology Nurse of the Year Excellence Award and the recipient of the 1992 E. Jean M. Hill outstanding clinical BSN student award. She is the past chair of and board member of the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) National Certified Breast Care Nurse Test Development Committee (2012-2019). She is the past Kansas State Lead Ambassador for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (2020-2022) and the past Kansas Legislative Liaison for the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (2019 – 2022) and is very active at both the state and national levels advocating for people with cancer. She served as the President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (2022). She is a core faculty member for the University of Kansas School of Nursing where she provides an oncology rotation for selected Doctor of Nursing Students.
